March 15, 2008 we went to Venice Beach, Florida to celebrate my Mom’s Birthday and go Shark Teething! It was 83 and sunny! Wonderful day. The water is warming up and I was able to wear my swimsuit in the ocean. It was a blast. The wind was huge today and it made the mild gulf turn into a wild ocean. It was pretty dangerous and I was sucked under into the rip current. I was lucky that I was able to get out of rip current and get some air. It was so strong that my hat and ponytail holder was ripped off my head. Don’t tell my mom that though, she’ll worry about me at the beach. Another guy was sucked way out to sea today and the guy that went to rescue him also got sucked out to sea. Eventually somebody with a body board or something saved the day and everybody got out of the water. Found about 18 shark teeth today! Had seafood dinner at Sharky’s On The Pier. The sunset wasn’t so great today. It was there and then disappeared and a storm rolled in.
