Mark Schultz Pensacola, Florida

April 25, 2008 I went to another Mark Schultz concert at an Extraordinary Women event in Pensacola, Florida. It was a very long 8 hour drive and filled with car problems and stressful high speed driving. My windshield is not so crystal clear now thanks to a semi and a rock. The time that Mark sings seems to be going by quicker and quicker. I was once again in the front row center!! Mark smiled/waved at me when I got out there as they were still doing sound checks when the people started rushing in. He’s pretty cool. He did some photos with the ladies in the front row, my new friends. : ) I took a couple pics of them and Mark. The autograph line was fabulous. I like sitting and watching fans interact with Mark, although he seemed very tired. The crowd was not to lively tonight either. Mark did spend a lot of time in the meet and greet line with the people who are his fans that will stick around. I waited to the end as my scrapbook is heavy. Mark once again was very cool and looked very closely at the pics from last Friday’s event even reading one thing out loud that I had written on the page. Then I showed him the Dove award page to which he wrote an entire paragraph. “During the Dove Awards I texted my wife on the phone and she said, “Well the TV adds 20 lbs. to your face…” I said “Honey, it’s 10 lbs.” she said, no believe me big fella, it’s 20 lbs!!!” :-) Me not winning anything (to which he drew lines/arrows to him on each of the pics) He talked about this story as soon upon getting on stage. Mark, U rock! You win the support and encouragement of your fans every day. Mark has been very kind and generous to me and I want to thank him for spending SOOO much time with me. One of the pics is Mark holding a USGS map of the United States and on it the elevation points of his bike trip spot are plotted out. He seemed to think it was cool so I gave him the copy of it that was in my book. Maybe I’ll attach that later, but I don’t have it handy right now. I am so spoiled, the guy taking photos tonight took 8 of Mark and myself. :-)

My new awesome group of friends! They seem to like listening to the stories about my scrapbook. Those ladies rock!Sold out place, something like 3500 and I'm in the front row again!Sold out place, something like 3500 and I'm in the front row again!Mark singing the adoption song to some fans after the showMark singing the adoption song to some fans after the show

Mark Schultz on the Dove Awards

April 23, 2008 Mark Schultz was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year. It was awarded to ChrisTomlin. Mark is the vocalist of many years to his fans! : ) Mark later presented the Female Vocalist of the Year to Natalie Grant with some guy I've never heard of. He looked very cool all dressed up in his suit on stage!

Mark Schultz Orlando, Florida

The Orlando concert was so awesome. It was at the Extraordinary Women Conference and the church was only 1 mile from my Mom’s house. The coolest part was I was able to get into the front row again. I arrived at 4:15 and the doors opened at 6pm. I had scoped it out, so I knew which door was a good one to be at and managed to get down to the front before it filled up. It’s awesome to sit where Mark can see me. Anything past the first row or two and the lights are blinding. I met the coolest people in the front row. Terry knew my friend Mel from Michigan . Small world, God’s work for sure. She also loved The Joy FM radio station that I like. Eliz was a awesome lady. My age, so it was cool to meet some Florida gals. I’m sure I’ll see them again someday as we exchanged emails and phone numbers. We all stuck around for the meet and greet line and I had made this scrapbook of all 14 concerts I have been to so far and so we decided to be at the back of the line to show Mark. He looked at all 14 concerts and let me tell him short stories about each of them. I’m trying to find a couple of Mark’s original CD’s that were produced independently and I told him about it. I hope I can find them someday.

31st Birthday

I turned 31 on April 13. I think that's enough to write about getting old. ;-) Alright, fine. Also are some pics from where we went for my Birthday. Went to Fort DeSoto Park beach, and the The Pier in St. Petersburg and to the aquarium. Also went to browse my future boats in the marina. The funny looking boat is a floating wedding chapel. Weird. When they say where did you get married, people need to say in the middle of Tampa Bay. It was freezing cold that day, only in the 60's and with water breeze, that's near death!! Ha ha
